In Minsk there took place the action “For a peaceful Belarus”, organized by opposition leader Nikolai Statkevich, the participants of which protested against the joint military exercises.
Protesters gathered on October square, and then marched to Independence square.
Participation in the action was attended by about 200 people. Near the red Church held a short meeting, after which Statkevich urged the crowd to disperse. On 3 July Belarus celebrates Independence Day.
