Near the residence of Roman Catholic cardinal in Mexico city a shootout occurred, killing one bodyguard. About it reports Reuters.
“76-year-old cardinal Norberto Rivera, Archbishop of Mexico city and a retired influential figure in the Church, was in the house at the time of the shootings but were not injured”, – stated in the message.
According to the city attorney, the fire broke out after a man dressed in military clothes, went to the entrance, trying to get the package. Man opened fire from a guard at the entrance, but he was captured.
The guard, whose name was not disclosed, died on the way to the nearest hospital.
