In Lviv, parent committees and teachers were forbidden to collect cash from parents of pupils and preschoolers.
The corresponding order of September 26, was signed by the head of Department of education of the Lviv city Council Star Dovganik. According to the document, employees of education institutions, and parent committees and participants of the educational process is strictly prohibited to collect cash from parents of students and pupils of educational institutions of Lviv to solve the financial issues related to the improvement of logistics, repairs, celebration of the anniversary and holiday dates, and the like.
The head of the parent Council in Lviv region Elena Ponomareva believes that it does not prohibit parents to help schools. She also noted that this order will allow a charity in the legal channel, would free teachers from the burden, and parents from the pressure and humiliation on the part of the parent committees.
Parents will only be able to voluntarily provide financial support by sending funds to registration on the house. However, the management of schools are required to report regularly on the receipt and use of funds.
