In Lviv, a monument to Bohdan Stupka

На Львовщине появился памятник Богдану СтупкеThe monument was unveiled in his hometown.

In the village of kulykiv in the Lviv region to the 76th anniversary of the birth of the Hero of Ukraine, people’s artist of Ukraine Bohdan Stupka opened a memorial bust. This is stated in the press service of the Ministry of culture of Ukraine on the page in Facebook.

The Grand opening was held near the Museum room in the National house of Kulikovo, which began work on the 75th anniversary of the birth of the actor.

“When you’re at the monument, there is a feeling of enlightenment, the brighter is its image. It is impossible to estimate the loss of Bohdan Stupka for Ukrainian culture. His age allowed to create an incredible theatrical and film images that tell with humor and wisdom of history, to pass his experience to us. Everyone, for all of his disciples, – said during the opening ceremony, the Minister of culture of Ukraine Yevhen nischuk.

Also the opening was attended by representatives of local authorities, relatives and friends of Bohdan Stupka – villagers, direction and actors native National academic Ukrainian drama theatre named after Maria Zankovetska in Lviv, and a son, Ostap Stupka.

We will remind, Bogdan Stupka was born on 27 August 1941 in the village Kulikov. An outstanding actor and laureate of the Shevchenko prize, died 22 July 2012. Hero of Ukraine buried on the Central Avenue Baikove cemetery.
