In the district of Lugansk from small arms fired at the drone of the Special monitoring mission of the Organization for security and cooperation in Europe. The incident occurred the night before, the press service of the mission on Thursday, April 6.
Before firing, the observers recorded the movement in violation of the line of withdrawal of the heavy weapons of the terrorists, in particular the MLRS BM-21 Grad.
At 16.30 patrol in two armored vehicles arrived at the site 200 m West of the airfield on the southeastern outskirts of the occupied Lugansk to conduct a flight of a mini-unmanned aircraft in the area.
“16.40 launched its mini-UAV. Approximately 16.42 when the UAV was about 650 m East of the position of the patrol, the observers heard two shots from small arms (a total of 10-20 shots in 30 seconds), 1 km to the East from the position of patrol” – said in the mission.
As a result, the drone returned back to 16.44 it landed normally with no apparent damage.
The observers were not hurt. The OSCE was informed by the Joint center for control and coordination of the incident.
