In Kyrgyzstan ended with the vote in the presidential elections

Voting at the presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan ended, leading candidate from the Pro-presidential party, the second round may not be.

In the elections of the President of Kyrgyzstan finished voting, the polls closed at 20:00 (17:00 Kyiv time), according to the CEC, at 17:00 (14:00 Kyiv time), voter turnout stood at 40,12%.

Experts note that at the election of the President of Kyrgyzstan, the most actively voted the city of Osh and Talas oblast (North). The scientists explain this by the fact that the main contenders for the presidency come from these regions.

The candidate from Pro-presidential Social democratic party of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbekov Sooronbai continues to lead in the presidential elections. The CEC of Kyrgyzstan that the results of the preliminary count data by S. Jeenbekov gets 54% of the votes of the 1.4 million voters.

Rival S. Zheenbekov, the opposition candidate, the leader of the parliamentary faction “Respublika – ATA-Zhurt”, Omurbek Babanov gets 33,65% of the vote.

S. Jeenbekov is a native of the Osh region, 2011 to 2015, was Governor of this region. O. Babanov is a native of Talas oblast.

The turnout in the elections of the President of Kyrgyzstan was 54%. In Kyrgyzstan there is no turnout, elections are considered valid with any voter turnout.

The winner is the candidate who in the first round of voting will be able to get more than half of the votes of all electors from those who took part in the elections. Otherwise, a second round shall be appointed.

Thus, according to preliminary data of counting of votes on elections of the President of Kyrgyzstan, the second round will not.

In the presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan are involved 11 candidates, among them three former Prime Minister O. Babanov, S. Jeenbekov and Temir Sariev.

Earlier in the government headquarters on elections of the President of Kyrgyzstan that the elections were conducted in a stable environment. Serious violations affecting the course and results of voting, not registered, noted in the headquarters.

The election was opened 2 thousand 375 polling stations. The total number of voters is 3 million 25 thousand 770 people.
