In Kiev high-speed tram the street line will soon run to the metro station “Palace of Sport”.
This was stated by the mayor of the city Vitali Klitschko.
Authorities of the capital expect that such decision will allow to increase passenger traffic the street line at 60%. Now it is used daily by about 160 thousand people of Kiev and guests of the city.
In addition, Kyiv city state administration plans to carry out reconstruction of transport interchange hubs near the metro stations “Chernihivska”, “Petrivka”, “marketplace”, and by 2019 to build a modern station “Ulitsa Generala Potapova.
Moreover, in 2017, to begin work on the preparation tram ruts on the “left Bank” to upgrade them to modern trams.
