20-27 September in the halls of the auction house “Golden Section” will be an exhibition of Russian art Editions.
The exhibition will be presented works of the world’s most famous artists as well as works by Russian classics and sixties.
One of the gems of the collection – an etching of “St. Jerome in a dark room”, an internationally recognized genius of the Dutch artist Rembrandt van Rijn – lifetime imprint of a great artist, which dates back to 1642 year. Such etching was sold at Christie’s auction in 2016, 86 of thousand pounds.
Rare engravings and etchings by old masters – Piranesi, Durer, Sadler, Raymond, Shishkin, Bogaevsky will also be part of the exhibition and the lots to be auctioned.
Among the other top jobs – the works of Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso, Alberto Giacometti, Henri Matisse, Hovsep Pushman with original signatures of the authors.
The true highlight of the collection are works by the great Japanese master Hokusai Katsushika. Accurate copies of his two most famous graphic works – “the Great wave at Kanagawa” and “view of the boat bridge at Sano in the province of Kozuka”, made in Japan in the nineteenth century in a complex polychrome technique of lithography.
Among Ukrainian authors, whose works represented at the auction and exposition – Basil Kasian, Mikhail Deregus, Leopold Levitsky, Grigory Gavrilenko, Alexander Aksinin, Ernest Kotkov.
“We have assembled a collection of rare and interesting works, many of which are published under the supervision of the artists signed directly by the authors themselves. In this case, the starting lot price is intentionally low because our goal is to arouse the passion of experienced collectors, and also to introduce to the world of art young collectors beautiful,” co-owner of the auction house “Golden Section” Mikhail Vasilenko.
The total number of works in the exhibition 55 works. Admission for everyone is free.
