On the night of October 12, unknown poured brilliant green and iodine just completed a sculpture by the canadian sculptor of Ukrainian origin Vladislav Volosenko. The work was created within the framework of the Kyiv international sculpture Symposium in 2018.
12 Oct plener quits, and sculpture six artists from Ukraine, Germany, Spain and Canada must be presented to the public.
The sculpture of a Reclining female torso Volosenko-foot hewed from blocks of marble. Work common with his other work – like torso work Volosenko in the famous collection of George Perez in Miami. But unlike the sculpture in Miami, made of Sandstone, Kyiv Torso made of marble – one of the hardest and most challenging sculptural work materials.
Kyiv international sculpture Symposium 2018 mark the 30th anniversary of the first all-Union Symposium, which was held at ENEA. The current plein air collected six well-known artists from Ukraine, Germany, Spain and Canada. The theme is the work of a distinguished sculptor of Ukrainian origin, one of the pioneers of cubism in sculpture of Alexander Archipenko.
Despite the unpleasant event, the sculptures all six banners will be presented on 12 October at 18:00 in the art-residences of the 13th pavilion.
