In Kiev, in the Shevchenko district there was an assault on the alien.
Law enforcement authorities established that two of the attackers planned the crime: one of them is a taxi driver and the other is his friend.
The taxi driver invited the foreigner, who several times drove to see Kiev. When he agreed, they picked up the accomplice of the taxi driver – and the three went in the direction of Victory Avenue.
“By the way, they demanded the man’s money. In the end, the victim gave them his Bank card at two different locations the attackers tried to withdraw cash but they failed because the owner had called the wrong pin numbers,” – said the police.
After that, the confederates began to threaten the foreigner with a knife. Once refused, one of the attackers struck the passenger several stab wounds.
The victim resisted and kicked the rear window in the car. This attracted the attention of police who was coming next. The attackers began to flee on seeing the police.
One of them was arrested, the other escaped, looking for him. The victim immediately called an ambulance, he is now under medical supervision.
The intruder was 34-year-old from Kiev, convicted for committing a similar crime. The guilt he fully recognized.
This fact initiated two criminal proceedings: under part 4 St. 187 (robbery) and part 2 of article 146 (illegal imprisonment or kidnapping) of the Criminal code of Ukraine. The suspect elected a measure of restraint – detention.
The defendant and his accomplice could face up to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
