In Zaporozhye two men appeared in reanimation with the diagnosis “a botulism”.
This was reported in the Zaporozhye regional laboratory center of the Ministry of health.
“On Friday, 03.11.2017 years in the intensive care unit of regional clinical hospital received two residents of Zaporozhye 1967 and born in 1996, during the examination diagnosed with “botulism,” said the doctors.
As of the morning of November 6, both men were in serious condition.
As it turned out during the investigation, epidemiologists, men were eating dried fish, caviar, homemade.
Only in 2017 in the Zaporozhye region, there were 7 cases of botulism.
As is known, the main mode of transmission of the disease is dietary, due to the use of canned at home food. This files most often recorded diseases associated with the use of mushrooms home canning, smoked or dried fish, meat and sausage products, canned legumes. These products often cause group, “family” outbreaks.
