Kiev authorities promise that the new manifold that will accept runoff from the whole city, will last at least 100 years.
In Kiev started the second thread of the main collector length 10 km. Now it will accept the sewage from the entire city.
To build a collector began in 1994 to replace the old one, which launched in 1970, Work cost 1.3 billion.
In the municipality promised that the new facility will last 100 years.
Last year, we wrote about what to complete construction of the facility was planned for Euro 2012, however, due to the lack of funding in the 2012-2014 work has not been conducted. The resumption of construction actually occurred in 2015.

“On October 22 during construction works near the railway station “South” the developer poured concrete sewage collector in diameter of 800 mm. because the normal technological operation of urban sewer networks was broken. The specialists of “Kyivvodocanal” responded quickly to the situation and the fourth days are doing everything to prevent ecological catastrophe in the city”, – reported in “Kievvodokanale.”
