In Kiev can disappear an important object of cultural heritage

Three-storey house was built in the late nineteenth century and belonged to the family of a merchant of Vertiporoh.

Three-storey house on shchekavitskaya street, 19/33, in Kiev, which is the object of cultural heritage, began to crumble. The corresponding photos are published in Facebook from Kiev Katerina Buzova.

We will remind, in 2014 the Prosecutor’s office of Podil district of Kyiv opened criminal proceedings against the Directors of two private companies, whose actions led to the destruction of a historic building in the historic part of Podil.

Three-storey house on shchekavitskaya street, 19/33, which is the object of cultural heritage, since 2008, is owned by two private companies, said the prosecutors.

Under the terms of the agreements, the executives of these firms, as the new owners were obliged to protect a historic house, keep it in good condition and carry out the necessary repairs and restoration work. However, between 2008 and 2013, they took no measures to save this object. In the end, the building actually collapsed – damaged internal and external walls, roof, decoration.

Over the past four years building several times fires occurred, resulting in the condition of the monument deteriorated to the emergency. “Seeing the actions of the leaders of private enterprises in the signs of the crime provided p. 1 by art . 367 of UK of Ukraine (office negligence), data on the specified fact the Prosecutor’s office brought in the Unified register”, – reported in Department.

In addition, the district Prosecutor’s office is preparing lawsuits to private enterprises termination of a contract of purchase and sale of cultural monuments and to return it by the Metropolitan community.

As you know, the house on shchekavitskaya street, 19/33 was built in the late nineteenth century and belonged to the family of a merchant of Vertiporoh. Since 1994 the house was taken on account as the discovered object of cultural heritage. The manor is included in the encyclopedic edition of “the code of monuments of history and culture of Ukraine”.
