Police in Kiev have detained 31-the summer malefactor behind the theft of electrical cables.
After a resident of the Kiev region cut off more than 30 meters of cable of the governmental communication, it caught the Metropolitan police, responded promptly to the call.
On the specialline 102 the message arrived that near the bridge in the Pechersk district of the capital male a cable snapped. On a scene immediately left the patrol and investigative team.
Thanks to the prompt response of the Metropolitan law enforcement officers, the attacker was detained at the scene. It appeared to be – 31-year-old resident of Kiev region, had previously come to the attention of police for drug possession.
The result, he said that during the theft, he stopped the car and approached two of her husband to carry the cable. However, after some time, two strangers went, and the thief was quickly caught by police. The attacker added that a cable snapped, special scissors for metal.
On this fact the investigative Department of the Pechersk police Department initiated criminal proceedings under part 2 185 (Theft) of the Criminal code of Ukraine. 31-year-old attacker was detained in order St. 208 Criminal procedure code of Ukraine, the question on election to it measures of restraint.
The defendant faces up to five years of imprisonment.
