In several districts recorded heavy pollution.
In Kiev, recorded high air pollution, nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide and formaldehyde. It is reported by the press center of the Kyiv city state administration.
For 17 and 18 August, the level of contamination with formaldehyde had reached 4-5 average values in the districts: Bessarabia, Demeevskaya and Victory square, street Dovzhenko.
The pollution level of nitrogen dioxide has reached 4-5 average values in the areas of: independence and Demeevskaya squares and streets of Dovzhenko, St., Kaunas.
Exceeding the maximum values of carbon monoxide recorded in the areas of Bessarabia, Demeevskaya and Victory square, Obolonskiy Prospekt and ulitsa Dovzhenko.
It is noted that since August 16 in the capital, there are meteorological conditions that contribute to the accumulation and retention of contaminants in the air.
According to the forecast of hydrometeorological centre, such weather conditions will remain in Kiev until August 21.
