In Kiev, a memorial wooden donkey

This is the first in the capital, a memorial to a lost work of art

In Kiev, a memorial plaque to a lost work of art – a wooden Donkey, which was in Rylsky lane and disappeared in 2014. About this on his page in Facebook said the Chairman of the Shevchenko district state administration Oleg Garyaga.

“Today is the opening of a memorial plaque to the lost work of art. Sincere gratitude to all involved. In 2009 in the old Kiev area – Rylsky pereulok, 5 settled new resident – a donkey with a cart. Look wise big eyes did not leave indifferent neither local residents nor guests of Kiev. Such warm and friendly, the sculpture was created by the famous Kyiv sculptor Kostiantyn Skretutsky” he said.

According to Garage, the donkey was made from dried tree that grew in the same lane. Of popularity he quickly caught up with the famous Hedgehog in the fog with talents and ballerinas with Candlemas – other wooden sculptures Scriptscope.

The Chairman of regional state administration reminded that in 2014, the donkey disappeared. No one, as always, didn’t see who stole it. And among the people of Kiev, was born the legend that the donkey just walked away from vandals and aggressive city. Went their own way, to seek a better, and kinder people.
