In Kiev, a man was sentenced for separatist post in a social network

The man was sentenced to two years.

In the Kiev Desnyansky district court has sentenced a local resident to two years of imprisonment with a trial period for the separatist post on the Internet.

This is stated in the judgment, published in the Unified state register of court decisions.

It is noted that on 15 April 2014, the Kiev shared on the Russian social network “Vkontakte” post calling for the seizure of state power in Ukraine.

The message dealt with the fact that the United States allegedly forced Ukraine to begin the destruction of the inhabitants of Donbass. In addition, it was said that now “starts the war for independence of Novorossiya”.

“Now Ukraine is not only one foot in the civil war, but two. Politically: all the centers of resistance should declare independence and secede from Ukraine. Forming committees of people’s self-defense and emergency authorities. To enter in the fields of military situation”, – was stated in the controversial publication.

Note, the inhabitant of Kiev was sentenced under part 2 of article 109 of the Criminal code of Ukraine – actions directed on violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or the seizure of state power.

The defendant pleaded guilty and repented, therefore the court sentenced him to two years imprisonment with a probation period of one year.
