In 2018 in Kharkiv is planned to open the monument to the famous actress Lyudmila Gurchenko. It will be installed in her hometown in the Park on Independence Avenue.
According to the mayor of the city Gennady Kernes, now there is a reconstruction of the square. Monument opening is planned in may-June of next year.
Its author – sculptor Katib Mamedov, who is also known for the monuments to the heroes of the works of Ilya Ilf and Yevgeny Petrov – Ellochka Cannibal and Kise Vorobyaninov.
