The number of flood victims in the South-Western Japanese island of Kyushu has risen to 16 people.
“The Japanese rescue teams have used the change of weather on Saturday to find survivors of the torrential rains, floods and landslides as the death toll in the course of several days of bad weather rose to 16”.
The authorities warned of continued heavy rains.
According to the meteorological Agency, it is expected that 150 mm of rain will fall in the industrialized North Kyushu from midnight to 6 a.m. on Sunday.
