In Japan have created a robot for training athletes

The team of engineers developed for the Japanese Association of volleyball robotic simulator for training.

The robot is designed to block shots with three pairs of hands, and a robot copes with even very complex shots, providing valuable experience for the best athletes of Japan.

Volleyball robot is not able to play the entire game against people. “Hands” are fixed on a basis and can only move along the grid, simulating the work of volleyball players making the block.

Robotic arms can move at a speed of 3.7 meters per second, it is much faster than the human speed, so volleyball is pretty hard to circumvent these blocks in training, but much easier in the game with the usual commands.
