Three people were killed in the crater of the volcano Solfatara near Naples.
The bodies of the dead, a family of tourists from Turin, is pulled by rescuers in a special outfit.
According to preliminary data, the death was caused by inhalation of toxic gases.
Allegedly, 11-year-old child came close to a newly formed depression in the crater and failed. Father and mother rushed to his aid, but both died.
About the incident rescuers were reported by the owner of a nearby pizza place that ran in tears a boy of seven, the youngest son and brother of the victims.
Solfatara is an active volcano and a popular place among hikers.
Its last eruption dated to the year 1198.
In Roman mythology, Solfatara was considered the house of the God of the Volcano.
