In Italy abolished alimony for the rich

Italy reformed the concept of marriage.

The Italian court of cassation made a decision to change the rules concerning the calculation and payment of alimony after a divorce.

According to the verdict of the court, divorced spouses who have sufficient financial means or able to work, will not automatically receive child support.

Now the court in divorce proceedings will be based on the capacity of the former spouses to support themselves independently, not based on their standard of living during the marriage.

It is expected that the court’s decision will reduce the number of divorces, the results of which were paid large sums of alimony.
