In Israel archaeologists have discovered a unique find

Israeli archaeologists have discovered near the town of Rosh haayin large reservoir that was built 2700 years ago.

The reservoir was a rectangular tank with stone walls with a length of about 20 meters and a depth of 4 meters.

A strict plan of construction, its size, and strong walls suggests that the reservoir had administrative value and was used as a reserve for the local population. On the floor near the reservoir, archaeologists found broken ceramic pieces that, in their opinion, are fragments of vessels that were used for collecting water.

In ancient times, the collection and storage of water in this arid area had a strategic importance for the survival and the reservoir is further proof of the high civilization of people who lived here.

On the wall of the reservoir were engraved images of people, crosses, and plants. Scientists have identified seven human figures, most of them depicted with his hands outstretched.

Currently excavations at the site continue and archaeologists have yet to fully assess the scope made them open.
