The volcano “spit” fifty-meter column of ash.
At least ten tourists were injured in the eruption of the volcano in Indonesia.
It is reported that the eruption occurred around noon local time (9 am Moscow time) in Central Java province. The height to which the volcano threw a column of ash is about 50 meters.
As told the head of the National centre of Volcanology, at the time of the eruption, tourists were in the area of 15 meters from one of the craters in the region of the volcanic plateau Dieng. Ten of them were injured.
The victims were hospitalized in the nearest medical institution.
