In Indonesia the ferry with 140 passengers


Local television showed dozens of passengers hanging on a ferry or floating in their life jackets.

The Indonesian authorities are trying to rescue 140 passengers of the ferry that sank off the coast of the island of Sulawesi. At least four persons were lost, reports on Tuesday, July 3, Reuters.

Noted that during the incident the ship was not far from the shore. The ferry also had a car.

At the same time it is not known how many people were saved. According to the Agency, local television showed dozens of passengers hanging on a ferry or floating in their life jackets.

The official representative of the National Agency for disaster management of Indonesia said that the incident occurred at about 14:30 local time (10:30 Kyiv time). He said that probably water leaked into the left side of the ship. Currently under evacuation.
