The most ancient remains of plants found in India.
A group of paleontologists were able to discover the remains of very ancient plants in India, which appeared on Earth more than 1.6 billion years ago.
Experts said that to make 100% conclusions it is impossible, as in the prints of plants found DNA remains. The main feature that shows the ownership of these finds to modern plants, is their structure, shape and size.
Such a structure of the fossils allows to assert that the era of “visible to the eye of life” began its existence much earlier than anticipated.
Experts believe that a careful study of ancient remains of plants indicating when and how did the first multicellular creatures.
