In the boat were 40 tourists, 19 of them died.
The boat overturned in Andhra Pradesh in southern India, killing 19 people. This is with reference to data of local officials, reports The Global Times.
The boat capsized on river Krishna, 55 km East of Amravati, the main city of Andhra Pradesh.
“Body pulled from the water and we are trying to find the missing,” said a senior official.
According to officials, the boat had about 40 people when she perevernulsya on the river on Sunday evening. Witnesses said 20 people were rescued by local fishermen.
Local tourists on the boat was heading to witness the great Maha-arati, a local ritual.
“The victims were identified as members of the club between Ongole Walkers Club in the area Prakasam, and some of them were from Nellore,” said a local resident.

The police said that the boat worked without a license, in addition, there were no life vests or floating devices.
Authorities have launched an investigation, although it is reported that the cause likely was the overcrowding of the boat.
