Relatives of Chechen singer Zelimkhan Bakaev’s claim about his disappearance during his stay in the capital of the Russian region of Chechnya, Grozny.
One of the relatives Bakaeva said “Radio Liberty” that the singer, who lives in Moscow, arrived in Grozny earlier in August for my sister’s wedding.
According to a family member, who asked not to be named, had no connection with Bakievym since then, as he left the house of relatives in Grozny on August 8.
The police did not give the families any information about the location of Bakayev, and the Chechen authorities did not make any statements about it.
As told to two friends of the singer on condition of anonymity, the locals told them that Bakaeva August 8, was grabbed by men in military uniform in the center of Grozny. In the Management of the MIA of Russia in Grozny said that “the first time I heard about it” and statements about the missing men in the name Zelim Bakaev they have not been.
