In Greece, a bomb threat led to a mass evacuation

A large bomb during world war II was found during construction works.

The local authorities of the Greek city of Thessaloniki on February 12 on Sunday will hold a large-scale evacuation of more than 72 thousand local residents because of the threat of a bomb during the Second World war, which was discovered the day before.

The bomb, weighing 250 pounds, was discovered at a depth of about 5 meters during construction works near the gas station.

After the evacuation of local residents by military experts will begin to defuse the bomb. It is expected that the operation will last for several hours.

People who live in a radius of 2 kilometers from the place of bomb detection, will be taken out in local gyms, stadiums and cafes.
