The police recorded 3.6 thousand offences
The Federal criminal police office of Germany (BKA) currently has registered more than 3.6 thousand the offences connected with the election campaign in Germany.
According to the BKA, which results in the publication, about three quarters of offences associated with property damage, especially propaganda posters, or the use of symbols is prohibited in Germany, organizations. Also during the campaign there were about 50 cases of infliction of bodily damage, primarily agitators. Among reported offences also throwing eggs, insulting remarks, threatening letters and other.
Compared with the previous election campaign in the German Bundestag in 2013 the number of offences increased by 18%. A large number of offences – almost 1.5 thousand – recorded in the past weeks, said the BKA.
As you know, elections to the German Bundestag will take place on Sunday, September 24.
