Georgian scientists with their colleagues from the American space Agency NASA will be the first who manage to make wine on Mars. The experts have developed the appropriate space project, which received the name of the IX Millennium.
As noted, researchers from Georgia was inspired recently discovered in the vicinity of Tbilisi, the vessel, which was wine aged in 8 thousand years. Experts started thinking about the possibility to produce a beverage on the surface of the red planet.
IX Millennium provides for the organization of wine production. NASA has launched a program under which experts are considering different ideas for “human presence” on another planet. Curators of the project are the Tbilisi University of business and technology, Space Farms and NASA.
Scientist Nikoloz Doborjginidze said that with the help of American experts, the wine industry can be put on a cosmic level. The authors of the project have already started to collect information about the growth of different varieties of grapes in extreme conditions. In particular, the experts are going to select, resistant to ultraviolet rays.
Space Farms engaged in the construction of a special laboratory farm, which can be set on the red planet. As expected, the next stage scientists promontory the growth of the grapes at low temperature and pressure, and at high radiation levels.
