The Directorate of National police in the Crimea and Sevastopol on September 4 opened a criminal case on the fact of toxic emissions in Armyansk.

According to the preliminary conclusions, we are talking about sulfur dioxide, which is released from the dry kilocalories of the plant “Crimean Titan”, located near Armyansk. The occupation authorities said that the cause of the emissions are heat and prolonged lack of rainfall.
However, according to the Ukrainian intelligence, the cause of acid emissions in Armyansk could be the shells hit in technological capacity “Crimean Titan” during exercises of the Russian military, which took place August 13-19 in the areas of the lagoons wastes from the chemical production of titanium and soda plants.
Now, the plant stopped work, also in Armyansk for students for two weeks, declared holidays, and preschoolers with parents and students “in the preventive purposes” sent to rest in the Crimean health resorts.
