In Facebook predicted that it will replace smartphones in the future

Facebook is not the only one who believes that behind such devices the future

Since the release of the first iPhone, the smartphones have become much more powerful, more got advanced cameras and many other features, but the way you interact with them has remained the same.

Many experts believe that smartphones have reached their limit, and in the coming years we will improve existing capabilities. Realizing this, corporations began to think about what will replace smartphones. It seems that in Facebook already know what we will use in the future.

The company Facebook has received a patent for waveguide display with the two-dimensional scanner that displays computer-generated elements at the background of the real world. We are talking about smart glasses. While the patent they are depicted as ordinary sunglasses. Built-in display, can display video, images and other content over the real world, while the sound will be processed by the built-in speakers or headphones.

“I predict that in 20 or 30 years instead of having to carry a stylish smartphone, we wear stylish sunglasses. These sunglasses will offer augmented, virtual and mixed reality. And we will use them all day,” said Michael Abrash, Oculus chief scientist, division Facebook to work with augmented and virtual realities.

The idea is that users do not need a smartphone to make calls, search information, communication and other things — all the content will be located in front of the eyes. How it is implemented — it is difficult to imagine.

It is important to note that Facebook is not the only one who believes that behind such devices the future. Google, Samsung, Apple and other companies are also working in this direction.
