As a result of the collapse of a huge garbage dump in the suburbs of Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa killed 46 people.
According to official data, among the victims were 32 women.
The mountain of garbage covered a few huts and concrete structures, where at the time of the incident there were about 150 people. Most of them trash collectors. Rescuers managed to extract a living of 37 people, a few dozen remain under the rubble.
The dump was located in the suburbs more than 50 years. In recent years, the waste began to be dumped in another place, however, not so long ago lived in that area, the farmers appealed the decision on the establishment of a new landfill, the trash once again began to take to the outskirts of the city, which led to the collapse.
