According to media reports, the militants attacked a security post near the Church of St. Catherine in Egypt.
One policeman was killed and four were injured in the attack by gunmen on a guard post near the Church of St. Catherine in the South Sinai Peninsula in Egypt.
It is noted that eyewitnesses reported about shooting in the vicinity of the Church and monastery.
News portal al-Masri al-Yawm, citing the head of the security Directorate of South Sinai Ahmed Tila reported that the shooting near the police checkpoint at the monastery of Saint Catherine has occurred because of an error in one of the police officers.
