In the “DNR” say they had previously been forced to trade with Kiev.
The head of the DND Alexander Zakharchenko said that his “Republic” declares the blockade of Kiev.
“We cut all ties with Ukraine, which are fighting. Yes, sold the coal to get money to pay salaries here. But due to the fact that we have learned to live in the blockade, we are announcing a blockade of Ukraine”, – said Zakharchenko.
A month has passed since then, as several hundred people block train connections between the separatists in the Donbas and the rest of Ukraine to break economic relations of Kiev with LDNR.
In late February, “government”, “DNR” and “LNR” have put forward the Ukrainian authorities an ultimatum – the removal of the blockade until March 1 or a complete reorientation of industry in the Donbas on Russia.
