Near the Danish town Gundslev opened the prison, which many consider the most comfortable facility of its kind in the world. A hotel it is more like a University dormitory.
The construction of the prison “Starstream” cost nearly $ 150 million. For the project, which was designed by the company CF Møller Architects, took five years.
The prison was designed to house 250 offenders, each of which is assigned a separate camera with a refrigerator, a TV with 55-inch screen, a large window, a wardrobe and a reading table with table lamp and a personal powder room.
On-site facilities are common rooms for relaxing and socializing inmates, workshops for work, Church, gym, grocery store and library.
