In Dagestan there passes termless hunger-strike of veterans of war in Afghanistan, which require the state housing promised to them 30 years ago. For a week none of the authorities with them is not met, reports REGNUM with reference to the Draft.
The hunger strike began on 17 September. It involved about 40 people, who pitched tents in the Park of soldiers-internationalists. They all require a meeting with the head of Dagestan for the decision of housing problems. “I am a war invalid of I group, standing in the queue for housing in the Ministry of labor of the Republic of since 1998, but my housing problem is still not resolved,” — said the veteran-the Afghan Magomedgadzhi Gasanov. Another protester Selim Salimov said that live in the apartment of 27 sq m with a family of 12 people.
One of the veterans was already in the hospital because of high blood pressure. It turned out that he has problems with the stomach, and the hunger strike has caused severe pain and bleeding. An ambulance had to call and other veterans-Afghans, but they do not intend to stop the protest.
