On the morning of 8 may, the head of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov said that the Russian law enforcement authorities raided the house of the President of Sudak regional Mejlis Ilver Ametov.

According to him, the searches were carried out through an anonymous letter.

Also according to the Chairman of the Majlis, in the area, the security forces surrounded the Tatar quarter.
