Archaeologists in the Crimea in the study of the ancient mound Hospital have discovered a sarcophagus with the body of 12-year-old boy about the second half of the fourth century BC.
So, the archaeologists found nine oil vessels, which were used in sports. Also in a stone box lay the scraper to clean the body and 150 dice of the Astragalus.
According to these findings, in the second half of the IV century BC here was buried a teenager 12 years who have not had time to start a family, not at war, but maybe could have had a future in the sport”, — stated in the message of Institute of archaeology Russian Academy of Sciences.
Archaeologists said that the excavation in the area of the mound are held for the first time in 120 years.
