The construction should be finished by 2020.
In the annexed Crimea will build three small missile ship project 22800 Karakurt. The work will be conducted on nationalized shipyard Sea in Feodosia in 2018-2020.
It is reported by the Deputy defense Minister of Russia Yuri Borisov.
“Three ships will be built at the plant of the Sea. The technological cycle of construction – about 32 months. We expect completion of construction in 2018, 2019, 2020. The third ship is laid down, apparently, at the end of this year,” he said at the groundbreaking ceremony for the second ship Okhotsk.
Currently, the plant is laid in may 2016 ship Storm.
According to Borisov, the ships will be armed with missiles of Kalibr and Oniks and automatic gun mounts.
Ships of the project 22800 Karakurt was designed by Central Maritime design Bureau Almaz. Displacement of the vessel of 800 tons, length – 60 meters width – 9 meters, draft of 4 metres. Speed up to 30 knots. Cruising range – up to 2500 miles.
