From this era preserved many artifacts — remains of buildings, the large quantity of pottery, tools, statues, household items, jewelry. From the Bosporan Kingdom and left a lot of burial mounds, in particular, the famous “king’s mound” near the village adzhimushkay. In particular, it in 1837, was found a 20-metre crypt, where, scientists believe, could have buried one of the Bosporan kings.

“Our” crypt dates back to around the same era, it is not so big — only 10 meters in length, and most likely there was buried a noble man. In ancient times the crypt was blocked by a mound, which, in turn, was admitted, six tombs from different eras,” said Rukavishnikov.

On the steps leading to the entrance to the chamber of the crypt (the dromos) was found a child’s grave belonging to the first century of our era. When deceased was found crushed shaped vessel, glass bottle, bells of bronze and paste beads, fragments of bone boxes piksidy. Near this burial, there was found an urn with the ashes of the cremated person.

Directly in the crypt were found bronze and iron nails, fragments of black-lacquer the front of the dish. In the layer of the fill of the crypt, are related to the stage of reuse-pozharnaya — yuzhnobutovskoy pseudococci fragments of amphorae belonging to the second half of the first century BC, fragments krasnoumovos dishes, odnorazovyj lamp, red clay urn, two faience pendants in the form of a scarab and a demon.

It was decided to move the tomb to another place. Currently, scientists have done a thorough examination and measurement of crypt, then the building, constructed of limestone slabs, carefully disassemble and re-assemble at the new location — on the territory of the Kerch Museum.
