In Congo recovering Ukrainian peacekeepers with military experience

All 250 peacekeepers participated in the ATO.

Solemn farewell of the Ukrainian peacekeepers was held at the 7th regiment of army aviation. In the number of peacekeepers soldier Alex Korshik, who hails from Lugansk. About two years he served in the ATO zone. First as a volunteer “Aydar”, then in the Armed forces. The peacemaker said that the preparation for the next mission lasted for two months.

“Now we have to represent our country, not only here, but in the UN. It is necessary to look dignified, to work, in spite of any difficult circumstances,” he says.

As noted, a detachment consisted of pilots, engineers, air service, doctors and chefs. Among the tasks of Ukrainian “blue helmets” – air support and aerial reconnaissance.

Peacekeeping mission soldiers were preparing hard – combat coordination on the ground and special courses on survival.

It is also noted that all the peacekeepers were involved in the fighting in Eastern Ukraine.
