In Chernobyl detained “adventurers”

Young people on foot tried to enter the exclusion zone.

The border guards of the border service Department, Ivankov Zhytomyr detachment together with representatives of the National police detained two people who entered the exclusion zone, the press centre of the state border service.

“Offenders were 21-year-old citizen of Ukraine, resident of Donetsk region, and 20-year-old citizen of the Russian Federation, resident of Moscow. The adventurers tried to walk to get to the Chernobyl zone with the aim of adventure tourism”, – stated in the message.

For violation of requirements of radiation safety regime extreme tourists faces an administrative fine ranging from 20 to 30 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens.

Earlier in the Chernobyl exclusion zone, the police detained two groups of stalkers.
