Ukraine must provide the documents related to borders and security.
Canada has been active in Ukraine explains what needs to be done to get closer to visa-free regime. This was stated by the Minister of immigration of Canada Ahmed hoosen during a speech in Parliament.
“We are working closely with Ukraine. I met with the Ambassador of Ukraine and continue to attract them as to what needs to be done to progress in visa issues”, he answered to the question about the feasibility of introducing a visa-free regime for Ukraine.
He also stressed that the canadian government “values its relationship with Ukraine.”
“The decision regarding visa policy can be based on a holistic assessment of risks and benefits. We came to the conclusion that Ukraine, like any other country, has to issue secure travel documents, to effectively control the border and cooperate well with the international community on migration and security issues,” – said the Minister.
