British entrepreneur Richard Browning invented a flying suit, attaching to the hands and feet of the miniature rocket engines.
The resulting design Daedelus (named after a character in Greek mythology Daedalus) allows him to soar to the height of several meters above the ground — almost like Tony stark from “Iron man”.
“I can just wear the thing and fly away at any time,’ said Browning in a phone interview with TechCrunch, Is less dangerous than riding a sports bike in the country.” According to the British, satchel Daedelus not flooded with jet fuel and aviation gasoline because of its non-explosive qualities. To stay on the fly, you want to keep a special switch. The speed of the suit does not exceed the running speed of a human.
To develop Daedelus took a little less than a year. The Browning project has already attracted the interest of investors and partners such as Red Bull. Theoretically, a flying suit can be used during search and rescue operations, for example, to get to hard to reach places. However Daedelus — no more than an expensive toy which Browning has spent about $200 thousand.
