Unfortunately, circumstances are able to ruin even the good citizens. And here to help the man in a hurry to come high technology. So, this year, British Studio industrial design Direct Line has introduced the world to trial the project, called Starling Crossing.

The developed concept features an interactive led road markings for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians. The project is more that just a set of bulbs flashing to the usual stripes on the asphalt. At Starling Crossing many interesting features, all of which are intended to make life not only better, but safer (at least in relation to the road).

The obvious Starling Crossing is indicated by road markings that is fully compliant with all current regulations. However, the system will operate with some differences. For example, limiting lines and the stop line for drivers of cars will be displayed always, but the Zebra crossing for pedestrians to be rendered on the pavement only when you go.

The developed system can change the layout if it suddenly changes. She is able to block the movement to change the signs of speed limits. Street with this markup will be equipped with multiple cameras that will track the movement of all pedestrians. Special attention, the system will give children and cyclists. All incoming data is handled by a special neural network that controls the adjustment operation of the layout.

One of the most interesting features will be “illumination” children and cyclists, if they come out on the roadway in the wrong place. Led lighting will create around them is clearly visible to the driver zone, so it is easy to notice the unfortunate violator of the rules and perhaps to avoid the tragedy.
