According to the statement, Prime Minister Theresa may on Tuesday held a meeting devoted to air safety, during which it was decided to introduce new security measures on flights to and from Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia and Saudi Arabia.
Under the new measures, passengers on flights from those countries to Britain “will not be allowed to take on Board phones, laptops or tablets that are larger than the standard mobile devices or smartphones”.
British authorities have coordinated these measures with the US administration, which had previously decided to limit the transportation of personal electronic devices for passengers from certain countries, said in a statement.
Earlier it was reported that the US authorities have imposed a temporary ban on the transportation of passengers large electronic devices in hand Luggage on flights to and from several countries in the Middle East and North Africa.

The Ministry of internal security of the United States noted that the decision was taken to enhance security during flights.
