The government plans to raise the retirement age to 65 and reducing benefits for some categories of citizens. This decision caused discontent among the citizens, because many of them can now expect to retire with 54 years.
According to the President of Brazil Michel Temer, the rejection of the pension reform was the cause of the crisis in Spain, Portugal and Greece.
Members of the opposition, in turn, argue that the authorities are punished in such a simple image of the Brazilians, who already was in a difficult situation, and 13 million of them – representing 12.6% of the working population can’t find work.
Brazil is now experiencing one of the most serious, according to analysts, the recession in the last 100 years.
