Head of the Ukrainian delegation Vadim pristayko said about the outcome of talks in Berlin in the Normandy format.

“Today was the proposal of the Ukrainian side to declare the next (tenth) mode of silence, but to ask or demand (whatever you may call it) from the Russian side, President Putin personally insisted. We think he’ll listen,” said Pristayko.

Pristayko noted that the main message of the Ukrainian side at the talks was that we must first stop shooting.
“This is our principled position”, – he said, while acknowledging that the French and German partners sometimes try some things “to push Ukraine to implement some things that are not on the first places in our list of tasks.”

Pristayko noted that the main objective of the meeting was to hear reports on the activities of the 4 “Minsk” working groups. Their leaders, as well as OSCE special representative for Ukraine (the head of the Trilateral contact group), Martin Sajdik, also took part in the negotiations.

According to him, at today’s meeting in Berlin, the parties tried to find a solution to the issues that are “stuck” working groups in Minsk:
“We discussed all the problems and tried them (groups) to find a path where ends the competence of the OSCE. This is the main purpose of our mechanism.”

Recall that in early may, the channel format was suspended. Kyiv said that the elections in Germany and France. “They will have no foreign policy, at least not to the Donbas,” – said the representative of Ukraine.
